So, a turbocharged car/engine, would be at even more of a disadvantage in hot external air temperature, vs our NA 6.2L?

Yes FI engines hate hot temps. More so then NA motors.

I pack the intercooler vents with ice on the 996. Not very pretty but works wonders and is very cheap. Of course you get the spend the afternoon with warm beer.

Can anyone enlighten me more about the warm weather / power loss issue?

Is this common with all cars? Or is the C63 worse than others?

My oil temp gets up to 250 and coolant temp up to 197 ... what difference does the external air temp. make?
250? I have yet to reach that heat. Highest would be 225 during a 50mi. drive in 100F heat. Have not tracked my car so I wouldn't know the track numbers.

I like to keep the revs in the 5-7,000 range when I'm in the mood for a laugh. Heading for a stop sign, start braking, when I slow down to 32mph downshift into first gear to surprise pedestrians, etc.... immature moments like those are when I love AMG the most. Drive the car to maximize the exhaust noise for 10 minutes, and you will definitely see the temp go above 225 !

Yesterday 80 degrees at 8AM.
Today 65 degrees at 8AM

"Damn these cars blow in warm weather... What a difference. I dont know how you FL guys do it. The C63 wouldnt be enough for me if it was always as slow as it way yesterday."

The upside, year round enjoyment of the car, and no snow tires!

Now that I realize it, my car does feel a little impotent in 105F...
