Hi, new to this forum. Thinking of trading in my M3 for a 12 C63. I love the idea of custom ordering one and don't mind the wait, but as I've always bought from dealer stock, not sure how the process works! (in the USA, in particular) Specifically, how much $ down at the time of order, and is this refundable? Has anyone had success negotiating down from the sticker price, and when can this be done? It seems like a customer wouldn't have any leverage to negotiate if a non-refundable deposit is put down.. Any help you guys can give me is appreciated!

I also finally received my vin today. Here is the word from my dealer. The German or European spec models have already had their release date.. However, the american specs were supposed to be launched on August 28 (my original delivery), but now go pushed back to Sept 7th.. That is why anyone with an american spec will not get there car until after that date when they are launched. This is coming straight from the factory and my dealer who is in relations with them in Germany... Hope this helps.. I also agree, that i have just accepted that it is what it is at this point. I will get it when I get it.

Spoke to a number of dealers today! One told me next year order books open! But spoke to someone else who said I can place the order 1st week of september and get the car last week of septemeber.

I too chose Arctic White at first. I then set my eye on a E63 in Diamond White. Looked at both in the sun. Went for Diamond.
Downunder it costs about $3k extra.(Taxes), in your parts about $500?.
Could be worth considering?

The lighting package is worth the $1290 in my opinion.
Only thing missing is the AMG Development Package (P31) and (471) Limited Slip Differntial.
...if you have another $8,000 you feel like putting into the car.

I'm in the same position as you, my current lease is up in 6 months. I wouldn't wait too long before getting an order in, depending on where you live it could be a delay in getting it. I placed a deposit with the dealer I'm using now at the beginning of June and just got a November production date for a late december/Jan delivey. At least go and talk to them and see, I'd hate to see the disorganization of MB mess up your order.

I forgot to mention one other question. Does anyone know approximately when MB will STOP taking orders for the MY2012 C63? Or at least when they have traditionally done so in the past?

Got word from MB that a C63 is coming into the country within a few days. They weren't sure if it's mine...if it is, brace yourself for some C63 estate pics

Just checked back with my dealer and my car is scheduled to be built in 2 weeks on September 5th. Which means delivery could happen as soon as October...
I'm trying not to get excited as the build date has already been pushed back 3 times previously...
