I have a 2011 that I managed to get with the 810 H/K without buying the multimedia package. It was NOT listed in the configurator at the dealer. The dealer had to make several calls to MB USA until he found someone that could alter the order. My advice is to get your dealer to call MB USA until he finds someone who can help.
At the moment it's looking like my 2012 C63 will not come with the 810 H/K sound system, it also might not be possible to get it at all... At least for those in the US that are ordering the car before it is released.
The question now is, am I going to be super disappointed with the stock sound system? Can anyone comment on it VS the Harmon Kardon system?

Maybe that is why you are having trouble ordering the HK system (810) as a stand alone option??

The USA 2012 C Class Dealer Order Guide lists the HK system (810), along with the ipod/MP3 interface (049/518), heated front seats (873), HD radio, and SIRIUS radio (536), as standard for the C63 (part of Premium Package 1, which it lists as standard on the C63).
Maybe that is why you are having trouble ordering the HK system (810) as a stand alone option??

I figured a thread for people to post their order details and any useful information might be good.
I got back from the dealer today and had to change my order due to the system rejecting options. The 320 Multimedia Package is being rejected by the order system due to the CD changer supplier being impacted by the earthquake in Japan.

I went to the dealer to order my c63 Coupe today. Everything I wanted was available BUT the Classic Red/ Black Interior. The only option they had was black interior. My sales guy told me to wait some, that it might come up in the system within a couple weeks. What do you guys think?
It does seem that the order system is being fussy right now, I don't really understand how it works. Others ordered the AMG Development Pack no problem but the system errored on that option for the assigned production date with my order. My dealer submitted my order and the system skipped over it and I have to wait for a date that accepts my options. I think giving it a little time and having them try again might work. My deal sub

I know, it's killing me too! I wish I could unsee that matte black because it is haunting me. My dealing said he'll call the factory and ask but I'm expecting the answer is no. There is no harm in trying though!

Yeah, I know with matte paint you have to care for it very differently than you do regular paint with a clear coat on it. Waxes, clay bars, and all the stuff you normally think helps protect your car wrcks a matte finish because it smoths it out and makes it glossy.
Companies are starting to launch special lines of cleaning and protection products to help with matte paint now though.

My only unorthodox call was keeping the standard dynamica interior. I have alcantara seats in my current car and love them -- much more comfortable than leather. Dynamica looks very similar, and I hear from my dealer that it is. If anyone thinks I'm a moron and committing financial suicide on retail from doing this I'm happy to hear about it. The more you know. . .

The financial suicide is the massive depreciation we get hit with on AMG vehicles.

I am also going to stick with the standard interior (MBTEXT/DINAMICA). It is easier to take care of, is more resistant to wear, looks better (in my opinion), and my butt won't slide around in the seat as much (problem with being skinny).

Confirming the H/K sound system is standard equipment for 2012, in 2011 it was not. Which is why I was so confused when I couldn't figure out how to order it.
