For people who have hid in their fogs
:1) how do you conquer the problems with the active curve illumination?
(apart from completely switching off the lights or having both of the fogs to stay lit)
2) did you have to drill a hole to do the installation?
3) where did you place the ballast?
4) is it legal to use the fogs instead of the low beams at night?
Your help is much appreciated!
2. No, just buy these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-5...#ht_4646wt_975 I used it and worked great, just need to cut a small tab on the adapter, so no messing with OEM plugs.
3. You can strap it anywhere, the ballast are water proof.
4. It's illegal driving just with fog lights at night. If you do, you only see the ground and the sides.

I generally keep my foglights on at all times in tandem with my headlights. I'm running 6000K Hi/Lo/Fog and the combo is just max visibility.
