Nevertheless, the car isn't reliable at all.

Electronics can be fixed but I would only be able to live it if it was all done under warranty. My warranty has expired and the car is having new issues every month.

yes I can feel you. It sucks having no warranty. Mine just expired 6 months ago. And now I think I have the same issue as you. Only difference that my car starts and gets all the power back after few minutes. But otherwise I took it to the service and they said that the computer didnt find anything wrong.

Do you think my car keeps dying from time to time because I have a bad battery? Couple months ago I left my car for 3 days with music on which of course resulted in dead battery. I ve recharged it but didnt change it.

^^ I would definitely change the battery as a first step & see if it fixes ur problem.

Matt, sorry to hear you had to spend 1 000$ to fix ur car.. I would definitely sell the car if it start giving u problem. On the other hand, I used to have a BMW, and as soon as the warranty expired & the car hit 100k km, it started being a headaches (electronic). I don't know, European cars should be built a lil stronger in my opinion.

This is a "known problem". My car had the same issue one month later. The dealer is replacing what they refer to as the "steering lock" in the steering column under warranty as it is a 3 year old US spec car. 2 days of labor to complete the work.

Going OT and I hope you don't mind. Since you mentioned your mileage (higher than typical) and recent events about the Class Action suit, any unusual valvetrain ticking/chatter?

I just had this exact issue happen to me; went into the grocery for 10 mins, came back and the car was dead. I have 52k miles, luckily I was close to home and was able to walk after the car was towed to dealer.
