What i know right now from my colleague who was there is that its the 6.2 liters NA V8, with 517 ps [510 hp], around 640 NM of torque [472 lb-ft] (it's nearly the same configuration as in the previous CLS63). Its 20kg [44lbs} lighter than the standard AMG coupe, LSD is standard, it has the MCT gearbox, 4 seats (first time on a Black), a bigger rear spoiler is optional as will be some more 'track focused' features (no details yet). On sale mid November in Germany for less than 100K euros, beginning of 2012 for the rest of the world. Don't know for the importation on your side of the Atlantic.

2011 C63 AMG
I'll be placing my order on Saturday.....
No really I am....! Been offered a place on the reserve list by my local MB dealer. Just got to go and hand over a small deposit to secure the chassis number.
Now the juices are really starting to flow..........

I think the car looks good, but it's not as hard core as the previous Black Series CLK in my opinion. Like I suspected, it's just a wide body. It's a much softer version now, hence the relative low base price. Instead of having all the track goodies standard, there will be a long and expensive option list. I doubt it's anywhere near as well built as the CLK. No seem welded and triangulated chassis, no industrial strength rear end, cheaper brakes ........ I'll hang on to my CLK, but consider to buy a C as my daily driver.

Rear fenders look atrophied compared to the front. With both the CLK and SL Blacks, the rear fenders are larger than the rear...looks weird. Split the car into front and back halves with your hand and you'll notice it even more. Rear fender makes the tire and rim look smaller.

Hmm, I have to say I'm a little disappointed. As previously mentioned, although the fenders both front and rear are larger, they still seem to be relative in size to each other, making the rear fenders look too small.
And I am not sure what to think about the body kit?? Those vents, especially from the side shot, look like something you'd see from an aftermarket company and not from AMG. They just don't seem as well thought out compared to the other Black Series cars.
The hood looks pretty cool though! I wouldn't mind fitting one of those onto my sedan. And it will be interesting to see what they did with the rear end/diffuser. It looks like maybe the exhaust tips are like those from the SL Black?

Anyway, looks like CLK63 Black prices will be appreciating some more.
