I think the new michelin supersports are cheaper than the PS2. I would try them. I have Hankook V12 on now and they do well for being a relatively cheap tire.

The supersports are great! I have 265 supersports in the back and they grip A LOT better then the stock pirelli's. Great tire for the price.

My vote goes for Micehlin Super Sport or Continental Extreme Contact DW.
I have the Hankook 265's and they hold up well, great tire for the price.

Contis Extreme Contact DW tires in 265 were fantastic.

I've gotten over 8K on a set of rear Yoko Avid Envigors. Sticky and quiet as well, so the overall package is great, especially considering the low price.

265s are definitely ok on the Contis. I had two sets of the DW tires and never an issue.

What about Nitto. Traction is way greater than stock. Now I often forget to turn on sport mode traction.

I have Bridgestone Potenza's RE760 sports, 265/35/18 rear @ $203 and stock size front @ $161. They handle better then stocks and seem to hold up nicely however I only have 1500k on them so far.

I'm running 265 Michelin PSS all the way around on my current car right now.
They are fantastic tires, well worth the additional money in my opinion.

I wouldn't consider putting anything else on at this point.

Anybody tried 275 Conti DW's on the rears so far? I'm trying to decide between 265's and 275's.
Thanks.

i used to like those tires but look how much they weigh compared to the PS and Continentals (its about 5 pounds more per wheel)

they are performance down grades.

What about Nitto NT05, I run 275/35 on rear with no issues. There a great summer tire and reviews also say fairly good in the rain......find em on line for less that $200 per.

I run Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport 275/35R-18 (second pair of these on rear, previous pair lasted 5K mi, milked them to 6K). Good dry stick, little soft on turn in, pretty quiet and fairly reasonable at $430 for the pair from Tire Rack. they don't rub. Hope this helps.

After multiple sets of PS2's which I loved, but were getting too pricey, I switched over to the Conti Extreme Contact DW's 245F / 265R (oh, and I had DWS in 235F / 255R for about a week because I got the wrong ones).

Conti's are a very good tire for the price, but I think I'm going with PSS the next time around.

Thanks.
I was in your position a couple weeks ago. Don't quote me but from what I remember 275 WOULD fit but may look very "bulgy" on stock rims, at least I remember reading that somewhere.. I ended up going 265.
