Hill-start assist system or??

Hi All,

I would like some input on an issue with my 2010. My driveway is flat, but as I back out into the street it goes from flat to a several degree incline. When I move from reverse to drive and press the gas, it takes a couple of seconds to move forward. This doesn't seem like it's the Hill-start as described in the owner's manual. This doesn't happen when on flat ground.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks,

Joe

I have the same issue and I have assumed there is a stall speed built into the transmission. It happens to me whether the car is cold or up to temp but I wouldn't worry about the transmission as it is clearly part of the algorithm and the transmission can handle the load. Mercedes does not build transmissions so they can replace them under warranty.
