New Roofrack option for our C63's
I have never liked the bars that are not flush with the ends of the towers, or the round bars (old Yakima style) and square bars (Thule).
Well, apparently Yakima has been reading my mind (okay.. probably not.. or they would be alot cheaper).
But I present to you the new Yakima Whisbar Flush rack system with factory mount points for our cars..
disclaimer: I do not work for any of the companies listed here, I have no vested interest in any company that sells these types of products. I am a mountain biker, who is sick of shoving his bikes (both road and mtn) in his trunk. That said.. it is not cheap, it is around $200 more then the regular models they carry (around $450 when you include the pads for our cars).

I have not checked, but I am hoping they can be installed and removed relatively easily. While all of the towers from the various roof rack brands have decent padding underneath, there is going to be dirt and sand that gets under the pads, causing an abrasion like effect on the paint area around the towers. So I would not be leaving them on.
The older style is held in place by 2 screws per tower, I could carry a cordless drill to quickly remove and install them.. I was hoping for something a little easier.. but then again, I would also want it secure.. nothing like $10k worth of bikes flying off the roof at high speed....

One think I have noticed.. Americans don't seem to like to use their sports cars for anything utilitarian, in EU and other places, I have seen Porsches and and Ferraris towing caravan trailers :P
