it feels noticeably quicker, the throttle response and torque and lightness are def a factor i think, but the what else makes it seem faster is how loud it is in the cab when u step on it or even at idle for that matter, the whole car just rumbles,to be honest, its almost a little scary when u floor it in the sls as it just leaps forward, the car is a beast
truth be told i was always pretty happy driving my car, and then i drove the sls and then my car again, and now i am getting my car tuned haha we actually did a few pulls on the highway and the c kept up alright once we got going, but def the sls is on another level esp off the line

The dragstrip in Saskatoon actually. I remember there have been a few C63s that have run up there. If I had know there was an AMG driving school being held I certainly would have participated. Have you been to the autocross track in Regina? I've attended events there but have not actually run my C55...

No, its basically an autocross course. The BMW club heads out there regularly as do a lot of other vehicles. The closest road courses I'm aware of are Race City in Calgary and one near Winnipeg...

Generally, autocross will consist of a shorter track whereby you compete for a time. One vehicle at a time is allowed. You probably will never go beyond 2nd or 3rd gear in an autocross event so speeds are not too extreme. An autocross course will more often than not favor smaller, lighter cars. I've seen Miatas get better times at autocross events than M3s. A road course, on the other hand, can be a lot longer with more straights and with multiple cars running at the same time. You will reach much greater speeds. Our cars would probably feel more at home on a road course than an an autocross event. With that being said, however, I know there are drivers that run their M3s, M6s and 335is regularly at the one here so its great fun regardless of what you drive...
