Looking to join the elite! Request info please!
This is a group of car owners that I have been wanting to be apart of for years...to reach AMG status! Finally, I can reasonably purchase my 2nd favorite (can't quite afford an SL65 yet), the C63. I've found several prospects so far. I have a question about the Performance Package. How do I determine just from looking at pictures, if the it's there? Most of the used car dealerships I've looked at, don't know much about the car and I'm trying to keep it that way for my benefit! From what I've found, the only real visible difference is the multi-material Alcanrtara steering wheel, aside from the mechanical benefits of course. Am I correct on this? Also, if any of you have any other advice, I'd love to hear it. Looking forward to buying soon! Thanks

I drive an '09 with PP. Besides the steering wheel, you can look at the front brake calipers. If they are 2 piece (vs one piece on the rear) that is also a clue as this is part of the package. Standard is one piece all around. Calipers are still silver, even on the PP in '09. My understanding is that LSD was standard on PP. Different springs as well.

Awesome, thanks for the info everyone! Just put in an offer so we'll see where the dealer and I end up. Aside from that, what am I getting myself into? I've heard nothing but great things and really only buying the car for the shear power, AMG badging and a car I can finally put HRE's on and feel good about it! Tell me good things as I prepare myself to spend more than I should ever spend on a car!
