How will a C63 do for daily driving?

Sounds like its a good daily driver. I do already have a daily driver, but not sure if I want to keep it if I find a C63. But looks like I'll probably keep it and drive the C63 on weekends.
Now what about maintenance? I'm used to changing the oil myself and performing most maintenance issues myself. Can this be done with the C63? Would I need special tools?

Horrible daily driver !!!!!! If you worry about gas, service, smooth ride etc.-- BUTTT if you like to start your morning with a smile on your face, like to see M3 guys cower, and have NO trouble merging. It's perfect!!!

In 12K miles you could spend up to $1800 on rear tires and your service A will cost you $250. You will need to add about 4 quarts of oil at $8 each. 1 set of blades. If you drive it in the winter factor in another $600 for snow tires.
Figure in NYC $4000 per year at 12K miles a year including gas. Pretty much take your car payment and add $333 per month not including insurance and thats what it costs to operate the C63 annually.
Each year it will get more expensive though due to services costing more front tires need to be replaced at about 15K miles and breaks needed to be changed in the 3rd year. Then the rotors which cost a pretty penny.

It's a great daily driver, can be driven like a track car if you want and can be driven like a regular car if you want. Also great attraction to the public : ]
The only disadvantage i can think of is gas mileage, I m driving 50-60km/hr regularly and driving it to 3-4000 rpm max from time to time to enjoy the sound as a result still doing 25 L / 100km haha

Sorry to hijack thread, although probably still relevant to the OP, but this seems very high gas mileage. The only time I have seen that sort of consumption has been on the track, have not got anywhere near as heavy fuel consumption as that using as daily driver (my long term average is about 15L/100km, worst I have seen in heavy traffic with aircon on etc has been about 19L/100km).

My wife dd's her 09 C63 P30pkg car now with 33K Miles.
Funny story last night she comes home complaining about people acting like fools around her on her way home from work:
Fool 1 - M3 with pers lic plt MPOWER rolls up on her wheel to wheel revvving constantly, so she moves away into traffic (my wife does not participate is speed competitions)..... then M3 fanboy cuts off a few people and races up side-by-side again for several miles in a stocking fashion........ so she gives him a thumbs up.... and he revs real big and (she said the car made a strange sound in her words LOL)... then drove off.....
Fool 2 - moments later crotch rocket body builder dude rolls up next to her flexing and revving hoping to play........ wife is equiped with a v1 (valetine) so she notices mr popo coming same time as evil kenevil revs and takes off..... she's like "this will be interesting"..... Mr. Kevevil spots sparky at last minute and she says she didn't know a bikes suspension could squat so much under braking
........
Point of story get ready for some unwanted attention from the fanboys... and genuine car enthusiasts...... it's a blast for me..... and it seems a PITA for some ladies.
PS - don't get the performance suspension pkg 09 cars for DD.... very hard on the backside...... AND if you have a larger frame forget about the C63 seats for long hauls.... very very uncomfortable if you have an old man touche and impossible to fit in for the larger people...... and if you date large ladies they'll have to sit in the back.

One year, 20k, miles, and this car is the best DD I've owned. Had both an E class, and S class; although both are great DDs, I still prefer the little beast!

Well can some of these maintenance items be done at home? Like the brakes and oil changes? How much are pads and rotors at the dealer? Ive got some connections on tires so not too worried about those.
