The bumper has grown on me. Still a great looking car.

PS: If you are really going to go down to 18" wheels instead of 19's, can I respectfully suggest an R suffix wheel so there isn't a step? I think a stepped 18 might look a little small on your car with the pop of the calipers. An R type wheel without the step would appear larger and keep the nice balance you have now.

Good question. Can you remember back to when you originally went from the 18" to the 19"? I have only driven on 18s so I have no idea but I think I might try to stay on 18s. The tires we run have quite stiff sidewalls and the recommended tire pressures are quite high so I am not sure how much of a difference you will feel. I think the 19s look better in most styles of wheels. I hit a couple of pot holes in the spring and thought my teeth would fall out and my wheels fall off but everything seemed to survive.

I also don't remember the ride being that bad on 18s, but as the streets in San Diego worsened, I do feel the ride quality went with it. Now, the streets between my job and my apartment are just plan sh**ttaaaaaaay. The ride quality on the freeway is perfect! But other than that, it sometimes feels like I am driving over worn-torn Bosnia [no offense to Bosnians]. I know the Michelin PSS's felt better than the All-Seasons, but I just can't remember whether 18s felt better than 19s. Since I am going from Monoblok to Monoblok, I dont think the change from 19s to 18s will be aesthetically noticeable to anyone outside of the car enthusiast. We'll see!
