What type of LSD does Mercedes use on our Performance Package equipped cars?

Clutch type or Gear type?

Thanks in advance!

Hey Rsquad,

I know you have the 2012 sedan and am wondering if you swapped out the fluid on your LSD yet? oh and do we need to include an additive? Any idea as to how much this will cost? Im getting close to 3000kms.

Although it contains the workings of a regular open diff, it is infact a clutch type. Pretty much the same as the good old ZF.

As soon as I hit 3000kms I'm going to send it in to get the Diff oil changed.

It's probably going to be $300 and no additives are needed. It's just regular synthetic Castrol gear oil.
