Running with out cats makes your exhaust smell really bad.

The pain was removing the turbo-kit when I had to get it smogged. After that debacle I sold the car and moved onto the E55.

Also some things to think about, modded Benz's are very hard to come by. There are 1000 stock Benz's for every 1 modded ones. You have to have really bad luck or always drive like an ***.
That was another thing I was worried about, even at idle the smell of fuel is strong and is easily noticeable.

I had 5% tints on my previous car and got alot of tickets so I don't wanna deal with that hassle again.

I heard you were running MHP LTH's at one point, did you get any bad attention from cops?
MHP LT are a quality piece....but they are for serious power. I have run headers lately on all my cars both SRT8's and my E55....they are(C63) just crazy loud because the stock system is already pretty flow through and other than the cats there is no baffling in the resonator or rear exhaust cans.

Hey....I ran a 500hp to the wheels Jeep SRT with big cam and headers and got pulled over for tint. A guy(officer) that knows cars is going to know the car is modified by the sound. I would say as long as you dont flaunt it or get caught racing you should be alright.

Its a roll of the dice and a PITA when it comes time for renewal.....but they do sound good!
