Your best bet is to paint it. I don't think there's anyone that sells a painted OEM. Take it to a body shop, if they do a decent job, the paint will last as long as the paint on your car.

uh, why would the paint not remain? It's better to paint it than to completely buy a brand new grill....

You can buy a new grille at getmercedesparts.com if you want to have 2.
Its best to take it to a body shop and get it painted.
FYI they don't sell black painted OEM grills for the C63.

You can wrap your grille in black vinyl.

It's a little time consuming but the results are satsifying and vinyl seems to be less prone to chipping compared to paint.

Here is my grille with Carbon Fiber Vinyl

Thank you.

Actually, I don't. lol I just took my time and used a hair dryer. Once the
vinyl gets hot it's easy to manipulate. The four inside slats pop off and
are very easy to wrap. The curved bottom part and star were the
most difficult to remove and wrap. There was a diy somewhere on the
forum. I'll see if I can find it.

If anyone decides to tackle this project, I have one word of
wisdom, "Patience".

I used black vinyl as well, very simple and should stand up to rocks/bebris better than paint.

Whatever you do, don't paint it - it will chip in no time. Do what everyone has already suggested and that is vinyl. The secondary benefit of vinyl is that it's relatively easy to remove if you no longer like the look or need to sell the car.

If you're worried bout rock chips messing up the paint on the grill, you can paint it and then wrap it with a clear vinyl, something kind of like venture shield or similar..
