You can't understand it because you don't own the car yet and haven't put either wheel offset on. What is "close" to some people, is way too tucked for others.
I've had 19x10's with ET50 and 275's for 2 years on the car and no rubs (and so have alot of guys in the forum...use the search tool)

The issue is that there are some people who have had issues with rubbing with ET50 offsets... it could very well be tire choice in addition to offset but I don't like being restricted on tire choice because of offset. If I'm running a Conti DW (narrow) or the Yoko AD08 (wide), I don't want to rub and don't want to worry about it. But I take your point nonetheless that one man's aggressive is another man's wimpy set up

I've read more threads on this topic in the last two weeks than you can imagine and I'm no stranger to the search button either having spent more time on car forums than most

If you wanna be safe then just get ET55's...and if you wanna go more aggressive then you can just put 5MM spacers to get to an ET50

That was my original point... callmiro doesn't rub with a 50 and you did with certain tires. Just makes the choice difficult because there are compromises whichever way you go.

C63 Coupe
So what would the correct wheel offsets and tire brand for 1 finger gap drop on a coupe?
Also, would it be possible to run 20's??

Plenty of people oh here have them as you can see. It could have helped you if you used the search button also...

Looking at these to go with a Renntech widebody rear in 18's. Based on your own widebody experience what specs would you go for? Planning on using a 315/30 MT.

I decided to go with the piano black as I like the gloss finish. However, with all the brake dust that accumulates they'll appear to be matt black if you don't keep them clean.

They look just like the black series wheels. I hope they make them in 19 inch with a good concave. It would make sence, a good marketing push to get customers in to buy the cf10. They should make them in 19 and stay ahead of competitors. Titanium or graphite.
