Check Coolant Level -- See Operators Manual
car is brand new and this warning comes on every time its cold...sept for a few times. doesnt seem to come on when its warm. coolant level is fine and dealership doesnt have any answers. the diagnostic doesnt even say that the warning came on in the system.
since the dealership cant figure this out (though im not surprised) i have come to the real experts. anyone have this problem or have any ideas?

This used to happen on our R-Class quite frequently. The coolant sensors seem to be really sensitive and the level does not seem to have to go down much for a warning to be triggered. When it was cold I would add enough coolant mixture to bring it up to the marker in the coolant reserve tank. Probably no more than a cup or two of coolant. Our reservoir never looked low until you took the top off and could see that there was room for a little top off.
Just get your dealer to add a little coolant to bring the level up a bit and you should be good for 6 months to a year. They should not charge for this coolant top off service.
