Command/Cluster display when car starts? Anyone have issues?

I figured refining my previous thread might help spark whether people have had issues with their command screen on their cluster similar to mine. Resetting didn't work and neither did finding/fixing error codes/messages with STAR system.

did u ever find the answer? mine is also doing the "----" for command display options in the cluster multifunction display. The steering volume controls don't work either.
Command has sound and tel etc, but it wants to shut off after 30 mins. Command thinks the car is not running.

Cars.
Aren't you under warranty? The dealer should fix this for you.

+1... seems like people avoid taking their car to the dealer to get it fixed at all cost

For what it's worth I found out a while back why my cluster was not displaying data from the COMAND. It was a stupid user error (err, that would be me) when reconnecting one of the plug connectors on the back of the COMAND unit. Its the connector that has the grey plastic clip that rolls over the top of the plug to hold it in place. It is possible to insert the plug just enough to pull the plastic clip over the top of the connector yet still not have it completely seated so that all the pins connect properly.
Not one of my best days and I'm admitting it ha-ha
