C63 Edition 1 Coupe
Edition 1 Coupe or Not?
Hey everyone I sold my M6 and now I am carless, my special order is supposed to arrive after Christmas or the first few days of January. I'm considering getting an edition 1 coupe that my dealer should be getting in by the endof this month..
I need opinions please, my order consists of: Steel Gray, porcelain/black, lighting package, keyless go, rearview camera, s32 command, aluminum trim.
MSRP: $70,600
My Pros of getting Edition 1:
- 1 month less of a wait
- I have always wanted a flat black c63, and now can get it in a coupe
- Has development package and more options then my car, i kind of regret not getting the p31
- Very unique
- Won't have to take care of the porcelain leather, even though I love the white/black
- Won't have to spend as much money modding the car for example, in my order car I would pay to paint calipers yellow, possiblly rims, some mods to gain extra power
My cons of getting Edition 1:
- $9700 difference in price
- Maintenance of the matte paint color
- I'm not getting the white/black leather I love
Any more pros or cons would be greatly appreciated, and do you guys think the edition 1 is worth the price?
Thanks in advance

You already have a list of a few things you were going to do to your order car and now you are looking around..........no matter what you are driving it is just a matter of time.
I recognize the signs. I have the same bug and I used this logic on myself twice, only to break down and start swapping parts.

Helms and diamond do you both believe the price is worth it?
And 604, haha I know I will end up doing a few mods but not as much would be necessary on the edition 1

You should build a car similiarly equipped to the Edition 1. That should be the price difference. The LSD on the edition 1 is already 2k, so you're now down to 7200. Ultimately, it comes down to what you really want. Is the car that you ordered the exact way you would want it? Ask yourself which car you want more.

I'm bias, my Edition 1 is making its way up the coast to the port right now.
I am Jeff is right about the LSD, if you want to do performance driving then you would need to spend extra money getting that added after since Edition 1's can't be changed at all in the factory. I didn't realize when I switched from my initial order to Edition 1 but decided I'm happy with it. I'll hit up the guys at ACG and get a Quaiffe installed and it's all good.

Dont kid yourself on this one. Once a modder, always a modder. Seriously.

ACG did my quaife install earlier in the year. They are great guys and did a professional job installing mine.

Thanks for input everyone, as far as limited slip it is unnecessary for me. I have my fun in my cars and drive them how they should be driven, but I don't track my cars and do not need the LSD

Yes, personally i do. It is a better investment in the long run, the best part is knowing you drive a limited edition beast, doesn't get any better than that

Not a fan of the Mercedes matte black paint. BMWs frozen black is much cooler.
I think you should wait for the car you truly desire. The edition 1 will be played out soon!

C63 Edition 1 Coupe
My last 2 cars have been Bmw, and i will not talk down on either cars. They were both amazing cars, its just time to do a switch over to benz, they have been doing a better job with their cars lately, i do agree with that for sure. I cant wait for my coupe

ahha what would you do to mod this car? i would do a TUNE . carbon fiber front lip. carbon fiber diffuser. and a carbon fiber trunk lip like the regular amg package comes with. oh and 5% in the back and 30% in front with a radar.

I have a matte bra on my edition 1 bumper, you can't tell because the bumper is usually shadowed/out of sun. if you were to bra the hood etc...the pain loses some of it "shine" if you want to call it that, changes the dynamics of the paint, which is why i only did the bumper.
