Mine doesnt over hang at all

 

My fiance and I just purchased the 2015 GLK250 and love it!!!! But...the only thing I don't love is that I don't know where to put my left foot when driving. I'm a bit short (5'3") and my left leg doesn't reach the back comfortably so it just feels out of place. The seat literally will not go forward any more.

I'm wondering if this dead pedal might help. Does anyone have any idea if it would become a safety issue if we put an inch or two of rubber under the dead pedal to move it out a bit so my foot can reach it? This would solve my concern entirely. I know the emergency break is right under that spot, so I just wouldn't want to put anything in the area behind it that could cause a safety issue.
