For those with Matte Paint
As some of you know I hit a cone at the track a couple weeks ago, after hitting the cone there was a great big cone shaped mark on the front bumper. I was concerned about the paint and the fact that we aren't supposed to buff/polish etc...well, since it was on the bumper and was going to get a matte clear bra on the bumper anyway I decided to experiment...
I have some Mother's Carnuba Cleaner Wax, I put a little bit on a microfiber towel and rubbed at the marks very hard and they almost came out completely. It didn't make the paint shine and did not damage. Worked great!
I don't have before pics, but here are some pics of the front bumper with matte bra and a product I just bought for matte paint (haven't used it yet). I only did the bumper because the matte bra takes away some of the shine that's in the paint, but not really noticeable on the bumper. And with the matte bra on you can not even see, unless you look extremely closely, the one spot from the cone I couldn't get out.
