Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if the 2009 C63 performance package came with the same 30hp upgrade as the 2012s do?
(It's a Canadian 2009 C63)

Yup...I have an 09 with the PP

For an 09 it should just be the stiffer suspension, limited slip, 174mph limiter, and alcantara wheel. 08,09, and extremely early production 10s have P30 and anything after that is P31 with the power upgrade.

I should read more carefully....yes I have the PP...no it does not have the additional HP...I think it was offered in 2010 as the PP Plus!

Thanks for the reply guys. I wonder if the dealer can do a oem software upgrade to get the extra power on an 09..

You can get an aftermarket tune but warranty will suffer.

The 30hp isn't just attributed to the tune...it's lighter internals as well. Dealer can't flash better parts

I'm searching for a thread that could compare the performance and fuel economy of having the pack vs not. I'm new to the site and enjoying all the information. Might be in the market for a C63 next year, doing my research now.

PP or not, you'll still be at the gas station more than you like, but you'll be loving every minute of it

If your worried about fuel economy then this is not the car for you. Fact is it gets terrible gas mileage! I suspect that most C63 owners don't care about this. Its a performance sedan. You buy it/drive it for the performance. If you want more performance you get the options to increase performance. You don't weigh that against loss in gas mileage. My opinion is that if you have to ask what the gas mileage is, you can't afford it.....just my .02 worth.
