Hello guys, first post but have been reading for a couple months now.

Current owner of an S4 but about to pull the trigger on a 2010 C63. The car isn't located at a MB dealer so it makes it a bit tougher to find quality information about it. I was looking to see if I could get some help decoding the VIN. I called two separate MB dealerships for help (they were very helpful) but were unable to print or email me anything and couldn't really give me options on the vehicle clearly (the service department doesn't see things like MSRP sheets, etc.).

So, that brings me to you guys...can anyone help decode the following VIN to see the factory options installed on the car?

WDDGF7HB9AF391293

Thanks!

Ben

Joe,

Thanks so much for this. Interesting it says grey leather, in the pics I see online looks almost White. This is the exact info I needed.

Thanks again!

Ok, time to test you guys here. I was reading the VIN decode that Joe supplied above which shows the P30 package on the 2010 car. That is all fine and dandy but I see on the car I am looking to purchase it has the carbon rear spoiler.

Also, pulling up the Pictures thread I see that crazy1eye listed have a P31 package. He shows a carbon rear on his car.

I guess what I am confused with is I didn't think the P30 came with the option.

Any thoughts other than someone just put it on there?

Yes I do, and anyone can have access. Go to:

http://epc.startekinfo.com/epc/

and sign up for a one year free subscription. Great for VIN decoding and searching for parts. It's a live database so parts are always current.

Regards,

Joe

OK, some say I have the P31 pack & yet it shows P30 on my spec sheet, so which is it? Being Canadian, the pack includes the LSD which in reality we pay for seeing the package is listed at $7800CDN in 2010 vs $5950US + $2000US for the LSD.

I have a 2010 Canadian C63 and the LSD was not part of the P31 package and I had to order it separately as code 471. I don't think it was added in to the APX Package until 2011. In 2010 APX-AMG PPP (P31) was $6000 and 471-LSD was $2400. You will need to check if your car has option code 471 if you want to know for sure that you have the LSD.

Ya your right, the 2011 APX package was $7800.CDN

I found a site called car cost Canada which lists the MSRP & all options, it shows 2 packages, APP $4000 which includes the LSD & also APX for $6000. & also the LSD for $2400 like you said, i guess I'll have to dig deeper.

http://carcostcanada.com/1/en/CCC_Ve...kModel=C-Class

According to my spec sheet Joe posted above, I do not have an LSD, no 471.

*** I stopped by the dealer & talked to the AMG salesman. he showed me on the computer that in '09 the LSD was included in the P30 pack here in Canada, but in '10 it was not. ***

Sorry Ben for hijacking your thread

Does anybody know how to use this tool to get a paint code? It seems to clear out the VIN when I try to find it. THe VIN is 10806712005140 so maybe that has something to do with it (old car). Any help much appreciated!
