Warning to UAE & Gulf Mercedes Owners

For those that don't know me my name is Eissa and I live in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. A while back before summer 2010 ( April or May can't remember actually ). I dyno'd my car stock and it made 382rwhp. After dynoing I spoke to a tuner named Nasir at Team Speed and he told me he would increase hp and tq with a K2 Kleemann ECU tune for my car. My car has catless down pipes so K2 was needed vs K1. I paid $1358 USD or a bit more and then went to redyno. I was a bit shocked to see 340rwhp after the tune but Nasir assured me his dyno rollers just needed greasing so I took him at his word. I then raced another car which I had previously beaten by 2-3 car lengths and from the same speeds I lost by 2-3 car lengths repeatedly. Then after 3 or 4 days my check engine light came on, after I took it to the dealer they said it was from not having cats but the K2 tune was supposed to take care of this?

Now I'm moving in a different direction with the car and have sent the ECU to another tuner to get it ready for the next modifications. The tuner sent the file to me to send to Kleemann because he said it was clearly not a K2 file or anything even close to Kleemann's tuning. It was a poor copy or hack job.

For these reasons I know that Nasir is a liar and committed fraud to me by selling me a junk product vs the Kleemann tune I paid for.

This is a warning to anyone in the U.A.E. about dealing with Nasir and Team Speed. From what I hear I am not alone in having similar results as others that have used him.

Lot of tuners around the world even in the UAE are just professional at mouthing and tuning heads for marketing.

Has anybody tuned a C63 ( tune only ) for 160 rwhp ? Oh that happened here haha
( mouthing for sure ) !! and they keep swearing :S !!

Yes Andy @ MHP has done a lot of magic with this tune + mods starting from weistec to his products.

Soon i'll post some photo shoot and videos.

I am glad that your current tuner was able to take care of you. I should have my newest file tomorrow. Wasn't easier to send your ECU to Kleeman in the first place. You could pay for express shipping and have your car running back within a week or so.
Anyways, I am happy for you now.

Man that's bad news. I met with Nasir last year after being referred to him from the Kleemann website, in the end I went with another tuner for my work but it wasn't for any negative vibes from him, I just planned a bigger project that included things he didn't do. In other words, Team Speed wasn't the one stop shop I was looking for.

Anyways, I will say this, his dyno does measure significantly lower than others in Dubai, it may have to do with the set up and operation though as when I was there he couldn't figure out how to plot torque curves or print out my AFR's.

Again, sorry to hear about your experience, I figured Nasir for a decent guy...

You ever run that car at YAS or Autodrome? If so, I'm sure we'll bump into each other, not on the track I hope

He is decent as long as you're paying for hack jobs

His dyno is on safety so it won't read that much, the most powerful C63 he made was having 427 rwhp ( LT's and tune ) and he was so happy with lol.

I haven't been on tracks or drags yet, waiting for my wheels.

Thanks

Presume you get all your mods/tunes done in AD, who do you use? The place I used in Dubai did a Weistec on a C63 as well.

Anyways, I am happy for you now.

Distributors/dealers were meant to save us shipping money so we can use it for other mods, from now on I would ship the whole car to MHP for example for upgrading.

I'm just waiting to hear back from MHP as well, heard a lot of good things about them from certain members on this board. You say EvoTech? I didnt know they were here in the UAE - are they in Abu Dhabi?

Where did you have your blower installed? I had mine done at NFS, they are gone now, they sold their shop/facility to a new owner/group.

As for the Quaife, I had it done at MB in Dubai, I get very good pricing through them and they have always done Greta work for me along this build. Bought the Quaife through Bird's UK.

They're located in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi. Blower installed at them as well for a good price.

I'm having a problem installing the Quaife since they didn't send me any install kit even shims. Who did you contact at Dubai MB ? Give me his/their number i might make them install it for me.
