I have a P 30 car and I can tell you IT'S STIFF! Viagra stiff lol I put hr coil over just to get a softer ride. That tells you how stiff it is. My c55 had kw's V2 and they weren't as stiff as this P30 car. My friend got in the car when I first bought it and the first thing he said was you just got this c63 and you put KW's? That tells you how stiff it is...

Yes, MB uses the P30 code as part of the APX package here in Canada. My option list shows APX & my data card lists P30.

I'm interested to find out also if the P30 cars are lower than non & if so, how much & what years??? I planned on swapping in the H&R springs this summer but I guess I'll have to do some more research

*** Actually I have gone through all of the "picture thread" & it defiantly looks like the H&R cars are lower than mine ***

I can give you a rough idea from my car which is a P31 2010. The stock height to the bottom of the wheel arch at wheel centre was ~ 25 7/8". After the H&R install it is ~ 25" front and 24 3/4" rear. The right side of my car seems to be an 1/8" lower than the left.

Except that Im not certain the P31 had the different suspension. Are you sure of that?

it was amusing to me and my friend that my stock C63 had less ground clearance in the front than he had on his stock 997 haha.

i'll try and get some measurements of my wheel arch wheel centre for a comparison.

Mort was 25 7/8 the front, back or both at stock height?

I had P30 and now using H&R springs,

the H&R springs are not as stiff as the P30 springs,

also P30 springs are lower than stock without P30

but the H&R are a lot lower than the P30

I'll post a picture later

From my original measurements it looks like the both front and left rear were equal to 25 7/8" and the right rear was 25 13/16". Basically all 4 were the same. I thought the right rear might be a little low because that is where the battery is located.

mort, are you sure your measurements are to the wheel centre?

Right now i'm on Winter tires, (235/40/18 all around) and here are my measurements:

Front wheel arch to floor: ~26"
Front wheel arch to wheel centre: 13 3/4"
Rear wheel arch to floor: ~25 3/4"
Rear wheel arch to wheel centre: 13 1/2"

even with winter tires, there shouldn't be that far off. My garage is relatively level as well.

Sorry, I meant measuring from the floor at the centre of the wheel and not from the centre of the wheel to the arch. I am still on stock tires. So that does mean that my current measurements are affected by tire wear and my rears are at 2/32" and helps explain the extra drop at the rear. Probably not the best way to measure but I did not think of trying to measure from wheel/hub centre at the time.

Also got a 09 P30. Too too stiff. At low speeds on a bumpy surface did your steering wheel get jumpy, similar to a loose engine mounting feel?

The 09 Beast

One thing is for sure, the 09 with the P030 pkg, is low enough that if I try and park fully into the space, I either drag the nose on the curb or the parking block. Hence, I never pull the car fully into the public parking places.

Corners very well when the tires remain in contact with the pavement!

Am running 245-40/18 up front and 265-35/18 aft.

Yo Jeffield, how you doing?
I too have the P30 pack and have 19's on for a while.
Still on my stock P30 springs and wondering if i could just lower the height without compromising the ride.
You mentioned its not as stiff as the P30's, rides well around corners? How is the ride with the H&R's?
