This is BS! We had nothing even remotely close to this in Chicago. One maybe two AMGs, one m3 one m5 and that's it. No exotics at all.

well the shows here are mixed..some years are better than others..i posted a thread here on AMGs we have had at autoshows over the years...there was one year where they had an SL65 Black and two SLRs (including a 722) and almost every AMG model...this year only 4 amgs.

Is it really necessary wearing all this AMG gear? From head to toe and even wearing the gloves at an auto show.... To me it seems really obnoxious.

Great pics and thanks for posting! They have some really beauties there this year and looks like it would be worth attending. Again, thanks for taking time to post so many pics as this is what this forum is all about.

I have to agree with Jeffield though to a degree. Why are you wearing all the gear, more specially the gloves? I appreciate barnd loyality/excitement but a little over the top don't you think. As a FYI, the offical AMG Stand21 FIA certified gloves are white with black lettering and if you want a set I will send you them as I have a few sets and can in balaclava as well. But these things should really only be used at the track where they are designed to be used otherwise it looks like "posing"

Hey Dave, If that is an open offer I would love to have a pair of the gloves you are refering to. I can promise them lots of track time and I'll even donate my worn out Oakleys to the "Racers without Gloves" foundation. I would imagine Keith would love a pair as well but i don't want to speak on his behalf.

guys, some people have pinged me about the gloves. They can be ordered via AMG Performance centers or MB dealership. Not sure of exact cost. They are on page 18 of the attached. If you guys can't get them through your dealerships, would be happy to run a group-buy and do shipping etc from here.

Besides going to the show to see the cars (there is only ever a few that catch the eye but this year there seemed to be so many more high end exotics which was cool) picking up the models is way too much fun for my brother and I. And there were so many good looking models! One of them tossed me her number just for smiling and invited me to her party tonight. Im strongly considering it!

Other than the cars and girls I had the most fun ripping my car up and down front st. than inside the show! Fun in the city with crowd of 100+ people and the police applauding was pretty cool.

ps. Great photos RL, I don't need to post mine now which were iPhone ones anyways.

Thank you RL1 for devoting time to take and upload the pictures.

I am still not sure I favor the pano roof on the Black Series (I can't force myself to call it a "BS") due to its performance robbing weight. But from a design perspective, it nicely harmonizes the exterior black trim pieces. Its a stunning looking car.

BTW, I love your gloves. I bet, more than once, attendees mistakenly identified you as an AMG representative.

That Magno Alanite Grey C63 BS just looks stunning in photos; I could only imagine how it looked up close.

Don't know if I'm late, but has everyone read that the new BMW M5 and upcoming M3 and M6 channel exhaust tone through the car speakers

IMO that's extremely pathetic. Car magazines have already concluded that the new M5 was fitted with this technology. They unplugged the amplifier and noticed the major difference.

The engineers at the factory --> can't figure out how to match the sound of those perfectly tuned hand built AMG motors.

Of course you don't have to take my opinion on the clothing you wear.

But you clearly posted that specific picture for everyone to see that you are a true fan boy since you have purchased your car.

I personally just think it's weird since I don't know many people that wear racing gloves and sunglasses during the winter inside an autoshow.

Perhaps this is a good attempt to get sponsored by Mercedes Racing since building brand loyalty is one of their marketing strategy.

If I was Tim Reuss and saw you at the autoshow.... I would have replaced Nico Rosberg with you right away.

someone was asking about miniatures in another thread..unfortunately one of my pics came out blurry





i picked these up...AMG logo seatbelt pads..oddly enough the seller told me that so far the only two sets of seatbelt pads he sold were the AMGs! pretty funny.
