As for tire pressure, I ran 48psi up front on the stock Contis and 30psi in the back on the Nitto 555Rs. Next time I will try a bit lower in the back.

Thanks Hagi.
I started with only about 1/8 tank.
On my last couple runs I had some major shifting delay (power would cut out and jerk me forward, then suddenly the car would come alive again) on the 1-2 and 2-3 upshifts despite being in Sport mode with Traction control fully off. I really think this was due to fuel starvation since I could not repeat this incident on the way home doing some testing after a fill-up. Anyone else ever experience that at the strip?

NT555R's should be set to 20 psi maximum from the get go. 30 psi is too high and pressure increases when tires become hot. I wouldn't be surprised if you were actually at 32 psi after a run or two. Definitely hurt your 60' times.

Not slippage just not use to being shifted like that, once u get runs in the trans learns but u have to teach it wher to shift,
If u in S even tho it shifts it self u can still shift before it try to shift it self and there will be no delay, keep doing that and after a few run the trans learns and u good to go.

I think that the most significant fact here is how to launch the car. When I ran my car with low PSI I use to lose a couple of MPH. I guess that it doesn't work for everyone.
I only cut a best of a high 1.9 sec EVER with my brand new Nitto 555R (street drag radial) just a couple of times. My averages are 2.0 sec 60' with these tires. I wish I could see a solid low 1.9 sec or even a 1.8 sec 60'.

Thanks. The point I was trying to make is that regardless of the cat/no cat setup of the other car the respective dyno charts looked to be virtually identical. Your session provided the best evidence to date that there is no difference whatsoever in low-end output/torque between these header designs on the C63.

Why not the header for you?
Whats going on with you west coast guys. You figure with you mods in +500 DA and 35% humidity you would be running better times. Is the track prep bad there?
Still a solid time but I figure you would be putting down very low 11's with those mods.

Did you dyno at the same place as Eric in the Valley?
Same track, same day, Eric was trapping faster than the 11.0x second 2012 GTR.. Does anyone know what 2012 GTR can trap at when run at a fast track in ideal conditions? Don't they trap faster than 121mph?

Eric's -Xtypers car had no cat's With xpipe,
Since last run, I went back to the same dyno and removed my cats and installed my xpipe to see apples to apples what the results would be and wow what a difference..... 509 RWHP & 476 RWtQ.
As you can see that you are wrong and the difference is huge.....

Okay, I looked up dragtimes for stock 2012 GTRs. racerx is one of the quickest I found listed a 11.04 at 122mph. The guy knows his car, and knows how to drive. He came from a 335i and M3 all of which he took to the drag strip also. Just about every other stock 2012 GTR at other tracks were trapping 124-125mph on dragtimes. So Erics C63 at a FAST track would probably be in the same 124-125mph range, and then with a quick 60' time, and weight reduction, then his runs would be right up there on the list.

I never had any luck racing my car at any California tracks. I have raced at Pomona, Bakersfield, Irwindale (RIP), Palmdale and a track that was set up in the parking lot of a Nascar track in Ontario I think. I could set a record on the east coast, be on the west coast the next week, and my car would never perform. It used to frustrate me so much. The fastest I ever went out there was in that damn parking lot (with painted parking spot lines all the way down the track). I almost killed myself at the finish line of Irwindale when it gets narrow at the end (dumbest design ever).
As far as I am concerned, we are lucky when it comes to drag strips on the east coast. First of all, we have so many of them and second of all, they seem to be faster. If you live in LA, good luck finding a drag strip. Pomona is only open a few times a year and everything else is really far away and not that nice.
If you need a GoPro, let me know, we keep them in stock.
