I like that the rest of the wheel is NOT alcantara. I have such a wheel, and I have to keep a selection of nitrile gloves in the glove box for any times I may use hair product, get my hands dirty or greasy, etc.
Alcantara feels very grippy but it is not suited for daily use on a steering wheel.
I hate mb- tex/Alcantara it makes me feel like Mercedes was to cheap ro use a full leather package
