Today they gave me an approximate price of $7k. Normally $8.3k but he said he'd give me a 20% discount.

For that kind of labor costs, I'd send the car to Weistec and have them do an even better job. And, while it's there, consider increasing performance (but not required).

"Waking up the dead" I have been searching and the only symptom I could find was water lose. Dude, if you've been subscribed to this for three years it must have relevance.

Head stud issue

I am considering buying a C63.

This head bolt issue is interesting.

I have an XJS v12 and to stop any corrosion issues with head bolts I use water less coolant.

This may be worth considering?

I used to be concerned about this...

I used to be concerned about head bolts, 07 CLS 63

I have had a number of issues over the years: intake manifold problem, oil leak at the block, air suspension pump failure, fuel pump failure, but not the bolts (knock on wood…).

I asked my SA, and he said, of all the many many m156 engines that they've had come through their busy dealership, bolt failure has only been seen on a handful over his last five years there.

Seems to be low incidence.

Still in the back on my mind…78K miles.

The adaptive suspension systems have been problematic since inception. If you own one, just assume parts of it will fail.

Oh it failed. Front fenders resting on the tires, red warning light. Control module and airmatic suspension pump replaced. It's been fine for more than two years since.
