Higher combustion chamber temperature can (worst case) melt pistons and damage exhaust valves. Also, pre-ignition/detonation sends an extra-hot shockwave at the piston top...most people describe it as akin to hitting the piston with a hammer.

Well you use RON 98 octane gas which is equal to our 93 octane. That is a very good thing for you...it provides a greater margin of safety. I really think the possibility of damage is virtually nil based on what you have said. Enjoy the car!
