Both the pre-FL (2008-09) and post-FL (2010+). AFAIK 2012 mirrors are the same as 2010 and 2011 models.

Didn't know you can replace the cover without opening the door panels or removing the entire side mirrors. Can you please scan the instruction and post it? Thanks!

It was me, lol.

They emailed me and asked if they could cancel the transaction bc of their mistake, I stated it was their mistake and not mine, but I'm willing to pay whatever extra it is to cover the cost, ended up $190

You have to remove the entire mirror from the car (that's the easiest part).

Look at my earlier post. There are two versions of covers out in the market one for pre-FL (2008-2009) models another for post-FL (2010+) models.

Look at picture in the instruction. They left the mirrors attached to the car. Unless they reinstalled the mirrors after they took off the cover (which doesn't make any sense), seems like they just replaced the cover with the mirrors still attached to the doors.

I wonder if these covers work for those with folding mirrors?

To remove the stock cover, you need to remove the whole assembly (speaking from experience).

these are 2 separate pieces of the mirror.

I just removed and painted my factory covers black and bought the carbon "layover" double side tape ones (see above)

why not just ask Rsquad911 since he installed it already on one side. Mind you the procedure could be different for the 2010+ updated mirrors than the pre-updated one.

Sorry for the late reply guys been busy at work.

Everything can be done with the mirrors attached to the car (At least on the 2012).

I'm pretty handy so it only took me about 20mins for the one side.

1) pop the mirror glass off
2) remove the 2 screws holding the mirror cover on
3) release the retaining clips on the top middle and middle closest to the car.
4) pull up and Viola top housing is off.

Very easy and straight forward. I have the Mercedes workshop manual at home. I'll post it up when I get home.

Great, thx!

So to take out the glass you just have to push it out, no screw or other?
