P40 is gonna be hot Roswell! Ironicly you'll likely be getting your new set of rims before i do haha. Ordered a set of Works and still waiting for them to come in.

btw, thanks for the tip on the Rear spring pads. Just got my H&R springs installed yesterday and the drop looks really even!

Walter, how have u been bro.. Is the M3 fully modded yet? U were another HRE family member... Still love ur sig pic! Lol

Noodleman, I'm glad u like the look of the H&R springs with the thicker pads. And what model Works did u get? Avengerboater car was so nice on Work vsxx.. I'm sure they will be worth the wait.

I also wants to use my oem lugs as i trust the oem ones more than some china made lugs. Did you have to buy an extended socket or the holes in the HRE are large enough to install the lugs with ease?
The holes are big enough for a regular size socket. The last week of waiting is the hardest. I just got mine two weeks ago.

Congrats on the HRE P40. Looking forward to pics.

Lets see how we do this. O ya sell the stock 18" OEM 5 spoke to buy 19" 16V AMG. 19" pulled off market leaving you stuck for spring/fall/winter storage wheels.

Post on MBWorld looking for 19"AMG wheels. None around except the new ones from England. Talk the new wife (congrats ) into buying a new set from the dealer because they will be about the same as the ones from England by the time they are landed in Ottawa.

Let a friend twist your arm into a well priced set of HRE P40 from Wheels Boutique. Way to go jakio!

Which set you going to let the car sit on for the spring/fall/winter storage? Need to buy another set of OEM 18" AMG or some 19" 16V AMG?

Guys this is how you get a new set of HRE P40 past the guardian.

Good job Meng. In the pink!

^^ lol.. U got the post of the day my friend.. I laugh so loud & almost spilled my drink at work.. So hilarious!

Exactly the story of my life.. Sucks to be me, huh? Lol

Now that I have 2 fancy wheels set, and still no OEM.. I guess I wi have to park my car on blocks this winter.

No problem Meng, I highly doubt these are going to rub.
You made the right choice on the tire brand and sizes.

Roswell you will love the HRE wheels, the finish and build quality is outstanding. I have the same set up only in 20's. https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...coilovers.html

^^AMG, I saw ur thread long ago & felt in love with ur set-up.. But how is it to drive on 20's? I heard horrible stories about cracked wheels due to thin sidewalk tires. I went 19's to be on the safe side, but ur 20's look sweet!

BTW, can u comment on my sizing? Do HRE makes +55mm offset? Thx

I haven't had any issues with my set up, I am careful avoiding pot holes though. The ride isn't bad at all, I think the coilovers help though. 19's are a safer option I just had my heart set on 20's.
Not sure about your sizing, I let Andre from Wheels Boutique look after mine.

Can someone tell me if the "steering feel" will change from 19x8.5 vs 19x9 in the front? What is the benefit to go wider in the front.

My SV1 set is 19x8.5 (235/35) +45mm, but they are not flush. So I'm thinking 19x9 (245/35) this time, but not sure if the handling will be affected?

Thx Jeff, ur wheels r the living proof that 19x10 +55mm offset does not rub with 275/30. I'm still waiting for HRE to confirm. Thx

Need help from the wheel expert again.. Lol

I was recommended by HRE: 19x8.5f + 41mm with 245/35/19 & 19x10 +50mm with 275/30/19.

Can someone tell me the difference (how many mm more does it stick out from oem wheels) between the set-up recommended & my previous set-up of 19x9 +45mm & 19x10 +55mm?

Here, try this... http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

For the rims them selfs, the fronts will stick out 2.35mm more & the rear will stick out 5mm more.

Thnx, i'm happy to hear the 19's drive smooth. The 20's looks awesome though... but I decided to go against cuz of the thin tires. Functionality over look.

My final choice is 19x8.5f +41mm & 19x9.5r +50mm as recommended by HRE. Anyone running this exact same size can chime in about flushness & not rubbing? Thx
