First time at the track!
hey guys
So this past weekend I went to the track for the first time, I was debating about going or not because I didn't have drag radials and my Hankooks had about 30-40 percent tread left on them. I was hoping to just get under 12, but I was surprised to see I was running in the 11's all day.
My first 4 runs I did in sport mode with tractions control off. The first two runs were great for being my first time. I ran 11.983 and 11.956. My third run was a bit weird, I was still in sport mode with traction control off, and after I launched right before the 60 foot mark the car started changing gears way before it was necessary? It did that for both my third and fourth run? I still don't understand why but I guess thats why I never drive in sport mode because the car is to unpredictable.
On my last two run I changed to using manual mode with traction control completely off and I was very happy with the results. My 5th run I got a 11.906 and on my final run I ran a 1.776 sec 60 feet time and 11.737 sec 1/4 mile time at 119.79 mhp! I wish I had more time for an other run to see how much more I could improve my time using manual mode.
Overall this was a great experience and I can't wait to do it again , and next time I hope to have drag radials to see how much I can improve.

Its got way more in her with your mods. Keep practicing and you could be very low 11's easy..... With an MHP tune.

Great time! A quick question, did you get the LT header before or after EC tune? How's the EC tune with header? I have a EC tune and is thinking about getting LT header.

Thank you everyone for the kind words, wish we could all go out to drag strip together. It would help having some experience there for support.
Thank you Merc, I do not have cats, but after looking at the official mbworld quickest 1/4 mile it seems as though my trap speed is just about right? Yes it is a bit low but seems to be close to what everyone else was running, am I wrong?
Thank you, I got my ecu tune after getting my headers installed, she runs like a charm. I would think that if you got LT headers you would have to adjust your ecu tune for them.
