If you believe these truck stories then you believe there are fairy's in fairy cake. Wake up guys. By the way, I have this big bloody bridge for sale in Sydney, it joins one side of the harbour to the other and thousands of people pay to cross it every day, great investment for only $300k. Perfect income stream for life. If you are interested please send money to comeinspinner@yahoo.com

I will have to side with the diesel truck on this one totally depending on mods. I personally owned one and drag raced it often. 04 Dodge Ram 4wd 850+ RWHP. Cummins Turbo diesel. It was insanely fast, street driven, heavily modified in everyway possible including nitrous and water methanol injection. We just stopped on the dyno with it at nearly 900 because I had already blown head gaskets in the past, o-ringed and studded head. It ran mid 12's all day long at close to 8,000lbs curb weight. That was a few years ago now these guys are making a lot more power and I have seen them run 10's! Go watch at a track sometime, pretty insane...black smoke billowing out of exhaust stacks and a big *** 4x4 screaming down the track! I shocked many people with mine.
All that said in hindsight it was really stupid redneck crap. I wasted so much time and money going as fast as I could in a straight line. Freaking dumb. Never again. Only true sports cars should have that kind of power on the street.

Until he has seen an 8000lb diesel pickup blaze down the track, it is quite a hard thing to imagine. It defies all logic that slow and low revving diesel pickups can even accomplish that feat. I still recall the first time that I ever saw it, my jaws dropped!

The turbo alone on stock turbo diesels is like a bowling ball if not bigger.. I wouldn't be surprised, but, a c63 will have a higher top speed if it came down to that. Not to mention sure, get a truck into the 10's. Now give me that amount of money spent on getting the truck into 10's and I'll do the same to a c63.
Also, have you guys seen the price of some of these trucks? Holy **** they a running as much as c63's do and them some depending.
But yeah, bottom line I guess is that it can happen without a doubt.

Not quiet that big. I currently have a 71mm and 58mm compound set up, but thats wee compared to others. A good friend has a 104mm x 88mm x 67mm triple set up. Good for 13-1400whp, fuel only. Well north of 1700 on noz.
But as far as dropping big money to make them go... With the 6.4 ford, 4-5K and a one ton crew truck will thump a C63 all day long up to 100mph.

Even if a c63 used that 4-5k for headers + tune? Idk about that. But thats just because I have limited knowledge when it comes to turbo diesels other than they sound nasty, are fast, and expensive.

ford svt's, and C63!!!
I've seen a 6.7 ford at the drag-strip that would school our C63 by about a half second in the eighth, BIG DEAL! the truck is powerful, and expensive, just like the C63, with enough money, the C63 could surely burn it down, and then soon after throwing money back at the diesel, it's out front again. I totally don't deny there's very fast diesels out there that can take out Vettes, Stangs, Camaros, or whatever. But at the end of the day, I bought, and own a C63 and love it. A vid would've been nice, because although I believe this is possible, it surely is easier to state this on the net vs. actually doing it. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. In actuality, I sold an 04 Cobra that would toast our C63, and our 03 Lightning is within a car-length behind our C63 in the eighth, but the C63 is a "much" nicer 4 door car, that will go 150mph comfortably compared to "ANY" Power-stroke, cummins, duramax, or even my low milage modded 04 Cobra "which I loved" and used to own. I bet I can buy a healthy SBC, wedge it into a pinto, but some big meats and a decent automatic and smoke the **** out of the OP's powerstroke diesel for under 15K, but "who gives a ****". If you ever see me go to a website of an opposing vehicle's owner and try to insult them, "please" back up, run at me, and kick me in the Jimmie, because I'm acting like a dip-sh#$.

Without reading the thread that spawned this one you are taking this out of context. The debate was not whether a modded diesel could take a C63. It was whether Chuckles truck did the deed. Keep your gremlin/pinto sbc and built trans. I can do it on a liter bike.

I guess I could have done that when I owned a modded diesel truck...go to Vette, Camaro, Mustang sites and such and trash talk, "my friend Bubba beat a C63 woohoo looky here". But then I would have looked like a bigger IDIOT than I already was for ruining a perfectly good WORK TRUCK.

I've got 100,000 miles on my 450. Still work it like a mule with close to 500whp on a mild to moderate street tune. Never been to the dealer other than when I bought it. I don't classify that as ruined.
DiscoZ. I can not say what a tuned and piped c would do dollar for dollar but even a stock car will start reeling in a truck with basic starter mods after 100mph.

Those asking for videos, here you go.
My old neighbors truck. Was daily driven until he dipped into the cage bracket. Still is driven often though.

That's insane, damn I never saw one of these get into 9's. A few years ago they were just breaking into 10's. I see that's a Dodge Cummins? When I quit wasting money on these LOL the Duramax's were breaking the 1000HP mark and spanking everything on fuel/NX. DR. Performance had a dragster if I remember correctly that was getting pretty quick.
I live in N TX anyone wants to meet at a local 1/4 track, we can make a "who's faster than a redneck?" video starring any 4-5K modded diesel truck vs, my C63. See my sig that's where I am at and I haven't even taken it to a track once yet.

If it wasnt a full 3 day drive and we shortend the track to 1/8" I would in a heart beat. 4:30 gears makes a full 1/4 a little too spinny for my engine LOL.

Dude when I figure out how to post pics and videos on here I will show the truck I had. It is fk'n crazy how fast these things go and INSANE power. VERY Dangerous bro I am telling you. If you ever line up against one at the track beware. No telling what you will be running against. Or just take your sweet *** time staging the lights and the diesel will hopefully spool up and fry something, probably the torque convertor...damn that joke still hurts my wallet just thinking about it.

ford svt's, and C63!!!
First post...couldn't help it. I didn't think to post it in the kill section because, well obviously, this gentleman's C63 got owned by a Ford diesel truck and he's quite happy with himself and the AMG was the one that got killed...
http://powerstrokearmy.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=15826
I test drove a C63 recently. I own a 550+ RWHP/1100 RW Torque 4+ ton diesel truck and I couldn't imagine racing a C63 well into the triple-digits...unless I wanted to waste fuel and embarass myself that is.
Comments? With the exception of one other delusional individual, no one's buying it, at all. Wanted to see if it was anyone here or anyone that could help set the record straight with a rematch (regardless of the fact that it's not worth your time!)
