Am I crazy to want a tune if.....

I love this car but unlike some lucky people here it is the top of what I can afford and not the bottom. When I originally got a C I said that before I got a tune I would get an LSD to put the power to the ground better, and a brake upgrade to stop it better. Then I totalled that car. Now I have one with a P30 pack, so both those things are done for me.

So now the itch for a tune has come back. My last car was a 335 and I put a JuiceBox 3 in there so I know how a tune can really wake a car up and I also know about warranty ramifications.

I can't help but wonder if I'm a bit nuts cos a) I live in the city b) this car has issues with hooking up the power it currently has and we all have the baldies to prove it. So. Has anyone tuned and regretted it for any reason? Or perhaps thought that money was better spent elsewhere? I've made a few mods, but if I do this it's the last thing I'm going to do and then I'm into this car as far as I want to go.

TIA for any and all advice!

I'm in the same boat as you right now so I can totally relate.

The C63 was above the budget of what I wanted to spend on a car, but I did it anyway. I am house-hunting too so I could have made the "smart" decision...LOL

Now I want a tune, but I'm deathly afraid of having any out of pocket expenses due to a denied warranty claim. Don't get me wrong, I don't think a tune would cause any issues, but things do happen, and you know a dealer will always blame it on the tune first.

So...I made a decision NOT to tune it. The cars plenty fast as it is. Last weeks I was neck n neck with a brand new CTS-V on a few back to back highway pulls from about 50, so that solidified my decision to leave it stock. I'll lower it, do a few more cosmetic mods, but that's it.

Tune it. I'm good with stock, but if you have the urge, you'll just keep asking yourself "what if?"

I would just make sure to have it done by someone wih a proven track record with these cars.

Tuning the C63 is no brainer. 40-50whp tune alone. Its detuned from the factory so get your hp back where it should be!
