what is considered young?? lol My wife calls this my midlife crisis car. It has 4 doors, so cannot be midlife crisis car right??

Okay, this should be decently advanced notice...how is August 25th for a local meet up? I'm thinking we could have a dinner in San Mateo at Espetus and for those who are free before then, we could sort of do a "group ride" up and down Skyline.

Not sure yet, but if we shoot for something like a 6:30pm dinner, maybe around 5pm or earlier? Gotta work up that appetite for the churrascaria

Best road I've ran down, was some random "Livermore old wine trail" or something when trying to avoid traffic one day.
I think it was part of Mines road?
Possibly worth a look, high cut walls through portions of it as well, so you can really hear the cars and the road is perfect, no potholes or invisible undulations.

There are lots of good roads in the Bay Area, but I think it'll be more convenient for folks to meet on the peninsula. Grizzly Peak and Pinehurst are also great roads in the East Bay.

Well, so far there are only a couple of folks interested and a couple of others, including you, who are indisposed. I'll create an "official" thread today to see if we can get more people, but I'll try to make these a regular thing for us AMG owners.

Sounds good. On Mboard forums we had a bayarea forum like this. and 1 guy or few would update on planning a trip.bbq. or something like that. was really cool. he called it ecfest. which any type cars could go.

I might be working on the other coupe, again....
C230 with the M111, the engine just keeps ticking and so does every other piece of junk on the car that shouldn't.
EDIT: Hey you guys interested in doing local group buys? I was thinking about doing a catch can and tune to start...maybe from Weistec for both or that hand held option for the tuner.

I'd be up for getting together too. I'm in Redwood City so Skyline is obviously a favorite.
Often times my route will be down Skyline south from 92 to Alice's and then drop down through La Honda to Rt 1, take that north to Pacifica and then hit 280 to head home.
I'd be up for meeting at the San Jose Cars and Coffee too.
