my wife bananas! :D
these threads always tend to gravitate to discussions of parents buying cars for their kids. IMO it doesnt matter who bought the car, what matters is the member contributing to this fine forum. I've met rich kids with expensive gift cars that were super nice and knowledgeable and people who bought themselves a nice car but are total jerks.

No one is judging the car owner... the comments, IMO, are directed at the parents who sometimes have more money than common sense. Having said that, that is the beauty of this continent... people can make their own decisions with their money and, as long as they are legal, who cares what the rest of the world thinks!! Personally, I could have $10B and I wouldn't buy my kid a 480hp car regardless as to how "responsible" I thought he/she was but that's just me. Not because I wouldn't want to spoil them (well, maybe because of that too) but rather because if they had a bad accident because they were speeding or showing off then I would never be able to live with myself. WAY, WAY less "motivation" to speed/race/show off in a Toyota Corolla than a C63 . Better to give them the chance to earn it themselves and then the responsibility is theirs and not mine. Just my opinion.

true and I agree with you about the no common sense parents. They should know if their kid can make good decisions or not. If your kid can't... even a corolla is too much.

When my daugther grows up ... I personally can see us giving her a benz to drive. I'm familiar with the brand and the safety and quality is good. Should anything happen, I know MB safety will be there.

btw.... I've seen some slammed corollas LOL...

Actually I think that this topic is useless. Does it really matter how old are we? We're here because we all love the same thing, the rest doesn't matter IMO

Scholarship for college. The company sponsoring me gives me a 7500$ check each month for maintaining a 3.0 AND pay for my tuition. So i'm basically studying to go back and work for them after i'm done. Perks of being Qatari, haha.

Interesting..

Never heard of any Scholarship or corporation giving a yearly salary of 90k for just attending classes...especially to a minor.

It's not really that simple. Pretty much, you're THEIR employee, and you have to work for them after youre done with college. If you get kicked out of the university youre attending, you have to pay back the company in full, paychecks and tuition. They even made me change my major from i.t to finance to fit the field they want me to work in later in the future. Saudi Arabia gives 1800 i believe for their students. Qatar ranges from 3000-9000 depending on who you sign up with/who wants you, im a part of Qatar Foundation, you've probably heard of them or seen their logo on the new Barcelona jerseys. Im not sure about the UAE though but i'm pretty sure they make a lot also but who knows

Yeah haha. But the requirement is you have to get accepted into the colleges on their list. For example gw ,georgetown, george mason, strayer. Those are some listed in va.

I 100% agree but I would get them a VW or an Audi A4 for safety. Not to sure I want my kids in a Corola

Definitely wouldn't put loved ones in Corollas. I would put them at least in current model Subaru. No WRX or STI for kids, of course.
