2012 C63 Coupe
Want a '12 C63....Cannot find right car!
I have decided that I want a new C63....have test drove one with development package, LSD, etc....I would buy this car except it does not have the lighting package and that is an option I want. It also has a couple options that I wouldn't have ordered but could live with....Is it possible to have them retro-fit a set of the bi-xenon light units on the car?
Really I would prefer a coupe without the development pack and just do an ECU tune on it, but also having trouble finding one of those that has the LSD (another option I will not do without). I mean, there are some cars around but either the interior I can't do (ie, red leather) or the exterior color is not what I want....Can't really see compromising on this....Should I order a car??
I am currently in a '09 AM V8 Vantage, and have had my fun in it and just looking for another fun car to experience and the C63 seems to have all the ingredients for that....If I could just find the car I want!
Thanks for reading....just venting my frustration on not being able to do the deal NOW!!!

You may wait and find a good deal on a leftover '12. You can always get a quaife led installed and a tune as you said. Or, have the one you drove retrofitted with the lights you want at the dealer as part of the deal, or there must be aftermarket parts for that.
At least get the interior/exterior colors you want. Then go from there.

my wife bananas! :D
correct me if I'm wrong but this technically isn't ordering a new car. you are buying the one that is at the dealer's lot. Being that $$ isnt an issue ... just place an order for a MY2013 with everything you want. You'll have to wait a bit yes... but the few months of waiting is better than compromising on a car and the compromise is all you can think of everytime you drive it.

2012 C63 Coupe
I may just end up doing that....Though I am going to the dealership today and see what the deal is as far as replacing the headlights with the bi-xenon units. But it seems to get exactly what I want, ordering a '13 may be the only way to go. When do they come out....Sept.??

I guess one more consideration that I did not mention (and kind of forgot about) is that I have heard that this is the last year for the 6.2 na engine and I prefer this engine over the turbo in the upcoming '13. Also it seems the NA engine is a easier tune that a turbo'd engine. I may be wrong on this....just thinking via keyboard....

2013's will def still have the 6.2.
I would recommend you order a 2013 and get the car exactly how you envision it. I've been waiting 3 months for mine and the suspense is killing me, but I know I've ordered my dream c63 and no one (hopefully) has test driven it!
The wait will suck but you won't have any regrets come aug/sept

(a)'12 C63 P/P, LSD, 19" m/spoke,comfort pack. (b)Astra SRI.
When you get EXACTLY what you want, the wait will be worth it, as you will discover.....when you take delivery!
We waited 7 months for ours......and look, it's not so bad.....once the car's "in the system", you can track it's proposed build date, completion, shipping...all good fun.
When I found out what ship ours was on, I even did my research on the ship, and found out all about it......so I can tell you that its engines were just a little bit more powerful than anything from AMG!
Just get your order in, and you'll be happy.
Cheers, Pickles.
