Fung63's C63
This is for July/August of 2012.
So when I lost my mode carbon diffuser, I decided to try another look and went for the vorsteiner one.
Now, Vorsteiner needs no introduction as their CF is perfect. Like absolutely perfect. It is a work of art how beautiful this thing is. If any of you guys are on the fence about paying such a large amount of money for it, I'll let the below picture give you an idea. seriously, after the $$ pain, you, your wife, your car, the random ppl on the street, the guy who is riding your *** too close on the hwy... will all appreciate it.
Before

After

again, both mode and vorsteiner looks great! it really depends on what look you are going for.. both are top notch in quality and fitment is very very good
I would give Vorsteiner a 9.5 / 10. I docked off .5 for two exposed screws that is visible through the wire mesh

up next was to get new wheels for the car. the oem 18s will be my winters so that freed up space for something aftermarket. I placed an order for a set of forgestars cf10... and yup like many of you probably know by now.... I was kept waiting for months. After 2 months, we finally got an update that the 10r i wanted was out of stock and it will take more time (1-2 months) to possibly get them. I decided to cancel my order since I would miss the whole summer season anyways.
Fate had it that an ex MBWorld member sold his car and put his wheels up for sale. So I found myself on a mini road trip and picked up a set of rennens M10 from him... along with something else
. The wheels were the look I wanted and the price was too good to say no. Plus my wife got a burberry coat out of the trip so we all left USA happy the rennen's are 8.5f and 10r... forged. one huge aspect I liked about them is that the centre cap is the size of the oem MB centrecaps so if i ever wanted to, I could swap the rennen ones out for the MB ones. Also, the cap is flush to the wheel so it gives it a larger appearance.
btw I am a sucker for work dirty cars... and my little beast braved the mud of a new subdivision (we were moving) so I thought I would snap a few pics

I'm going to give the rennens a solid 10/10. Probably because the price was so good in the design I wanted, it made me biased lol.
as a side, I have not dealt with rennen directly, so I dont know what their service quality is. however, a couple of things I dislike about them are that their website isnt the most clear and that they like to keep their offsets a secret
but from what i can see so far on the wheel itself, very nice indeed.wanted to add that the 19' rennens with tires were lighter than the oem 18s with tires.

here's a little photoshoot we got done during the winter. along with me are noodleman and ms3008. thanks to Adam at overdrive photography. He wanted to shoot some cars playing in the snow and we liked playing in the snow

this thing is gorgeous. painted black along the sides and weighs lighter than oem (Keith says about 40 lbs lighter)... which is huge as weight savings at that spot is always good
Overall I love this hood, much more aggressive than the already aggressive c63 hood. I actually installed it myself with the help of my father (yes I enlisted him lolz... i told him we were visiting and he wanted to play with his grand daugther.. i told him not so fast.. we need to do something first
). to be honest the install was alot easier than it looks and we both enjoyed working on the car.
this pic is courtesy of Frank at Speedstar

Overall I am very happy with the hood. The fitment I would say is 98% oem. I had alot of people compliment it and even people in the industry after scrutinizing it, said it was a solid piece of CF lolz.
I'll give the hood a 9.5 / 10. this really is a quality piece, but there are a bit of cf weave direction issues.. especially when two sections join up. but it is hard to notice (no one else did). I guess since it is mine, I could look at it hrs upon hrs lolz.
again, I highly recommend the hood.. really gives the car character and makes it stand out.

nothing much to say about the springs since tons of ppl are on it. Just wanted to say that the ride quality since it is only a .75 of an inch drop isnt really affected. but the look is very nice and a little bit less roll on turns. I also put on thicker spring pads to even out the drop.
anyways, onto the wheels.
I have always been a fan of bronze wheels on black cars but I wanted more brown bronze than gold bronze as I wanted to keep that luxury look to the car.

flushness check - no spacers were used

anyways, I personally like the new look. makes the car a bit more unique. when i had the black wheels, it looked a bit too dark for my tastes especially when everything above the wheels had chrome accents. I think the bronze is a happy medium.
if you survived reading this so far... good job and stay tuned
I have a few more items I want to do with the car soon

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I was closely checking out your wrap and it's absolutely perfect and a fantastic colour to boot. you should update your sig so other members can enjoy it haha
thanks Meng
gotta get the car ready for our kingston meet
i hear what you are saying.. rear atm is still a bit high. however, the springs need some time to settle.. its been only a a couple of days. Also, it is my DD so i need some practicality lolz. so far no rubbing except for the odd rub when i'm on the highway and go over a larger than normal bump.

Tire Connections http://www.tireconnections.com/ helped me out. These are painted not powdercoated but they are supposed to hold up pretty well. we'll see. the colour palette they had since it is paint was massive.. literally any shade you can think of they can do. And they can have a very fast turnaround too. If you ever decide to paint, ask for Raffi, he's the owner of the shop and tell him Tim referred you. awesome guy and very personable.
thanks Mort! this forum is a bad influence lolz
During the Kingston AMG MEGA meet, I had my car tuned by Eurocharged. There are enough threads already talking about them so I won't repeat it here. Only thing I will comment on is that Barry & Mike at EC are top notch guys. Power now is incredible but what makes everything worth it is how fast shifting is now. If you are truly on the fence about tuning your car, you really should give these guys a call and gather more information. Hands down the best ROI mod I have done on my car... and I love my wheels / cf hood lolz
I don't have a pic of EC working on my car but here is one of Mike tuning a friend's car
at around 11pm on a saturday day. We did give him like a few hrs notice to bail on his family and come meet us

Overall, I'm rating this mod a perfect 10. Good value, took like 5 mins and it has made my drive exponentially more enjoyable.
