HRE P40SC

I'm thinking about putting HRE P40 SC wheels on my Black Series. I absolutely love the stock matte black wheels, but MB has the same style wheels on the SLS, and I would like to make mine more unique. I would get them with a satin black finish, to flow with the satin wrap I also plan on getting.

Can anyone here photoshop them onto the car so I could get a better idea of how they will look on the car?

Not a PS, but here's what they would look like for real. They'd look sick on your white BS.

Red would look pretty killer, too.

Would the red be too much for your BS once it's wrapped?

That red is so loud, I can't even hear myself think. I think red rims would clash with having the red brake calipers. Too much red. That's why I want to go with the satin black pictured on the Porshe above. I'm also considering the HRE P43 SC. It's a similar design to my OEM wheels, except with 11 spokes instead of 10. It also has sharper lines with more aggressive edges on the spokes as opposed to the curve on the OEM spokes. Whichever wheel I go with, it will eliminate the polished edge around the wheel look, which somedays I like, and somedays I don't. I wonder what new designs HRE has on the drawing board to be released over the next year or so. I'm currently working in Japan until May 2014, and will only be in the US for about 3 weeks every year. Maybe I should wait it out in case HRE develops new designs that will make their current designs look like child's play.

Damn they look good on that 911, I can only assume they look even better on a BS.

Thanks James. I'm doing well over here on Japan. I like the P43SC wheels also. I'd probably have to see both wheels in person to decide. I'll be in Cali in October for the AMG driving academy, so maybe I can visit HRE in Carlsbad to see. It'd be cool to get a tour of the facility, if the public are allowed to do so. I'm curious as to the weight difference between the OEM wheels and the P43Sc wheels. Can anyone provide any insight on this?

From what I know the HRE P40SC are very light.
20" HRE P40SC weight around 21-22lbs.

Let me know when you'd like to come check out the factory.

The weight of the P40SC Series has been very good. Typical 20" are usually between 21-22 lbs.

Come to the one at Fontana. Myself, along with Nexlogic and Kimmie will be there. They're also members here. It'd be nice to see as many members there as possible.

Thanks Lon. I'm definitely looking forward the the HRE experience. When you measured the BS, did you obtain weight info for the OEM wheels? I'm leaning more towards the P43SC wheels in 19". Just curious if there will be any weight savings.
