New to the forum, new to MB, new to AMG
Hello all. My wife and I are moving back to California after a year in Japan for work. The wife needs a new car (we sold hers when we moved to Japan).
After lots of thought and searching, the C63 sedan met all her needs for a reasonably practical but small 5 passenger car (usually her plus our 12 year old son and several of his friends) and my needs for something fast and fun.
After wearing out the internet, I found the car we wanted at a dealer in LA and arranged to purchase it from Japan. It is being delivered tomorrow to our local Silicon Valley MB dealer. It is a 2012 sedan with Development Package, LSD, Lighting Package, Entertainment Package, leather and a few other options we didn't care about. After all my searching, this was the only sedan I could find in California with the options we actually wanted.
I'm still in Japan, so the wife gets the first drive. Seems fair as it will be her car. I'm excited to compare it to my car. I have a 2010 CTS-V sedan in storage that I will be retrieving in a few weeks when I am back in California.
My next challenge is to convince the wife to do the AMG driving school with me.
I'm looking forward to asking many noob questions in the next month or two.

your wife will use it as a run around and you will blast around in manual or sport + mode

It would be great if your wife did the AMG driving school. She will gain a real appreciation for these cars.
