From a trusted and protected source as of today - (quote) "According to my information, the AMG badge on the key will be added in Affalterbach and I am not sure if this will only be offered for new models." (unquote)
Just to give an update. If the plan is to add it only in Affalterbach, it is possible that widespread distribution, even with a part number, is unlikely. Maybe ownership interest may pressure MB to make it more available.

i have a set that my buddy @ the MB dealership gave me. i cannot figure out how to change them out. it's very frustrating!!!!!!

When I picked up my 2013 c63, the dealer handed me that same tin with the AMG covers inside. I assume it will be a standard thing distributed with AMG's now. Though the funny thing is that when he handed it to me, he had no clue what was even inside of it. I'm assuming I was the first person that he'd ever given a set to.
