Glad to hear everyone is safe. As others have said, cars will come and go but people will not. It also seems as thought the Merc took the impact well. It's great that cars are getting safer and safer. Good luck with your situation.

2017 Mini Cooper S Clubman ALL4 - British Racing Green
I had a similar experience, but I was lucky to hit the brakes in time for the guy to go screaming by at around 61+ mph (in a 50mph zone with a camera, so he was at least going 61 since I saw the flash). He missed my bumper by about half a foot, and honked his freaking horn at me (I'm sure he probably flipped me the bird too).
I was pulling out of a gas station at the end of a t junction going straight, light turned green I started to go and zoom.. car goes by.. fortunately my wife was not with me (who was 9 months pregnant at the time, had boy 3 days later (he is 4 weeks old at around 10 past midnight today.. well tomorrow heh..)
Drivers can be total *******s.. In hindsight, I was thinking maybe I should have let him rip off the front of my car.. I could use a 2012 model
