It's for sure that, amongst your collection, nothing gets more attention than the GTR. Other cars can hide under the radar due to the obvious reason of having a docile counterpart. Not the GTR.

Obviously, the E wagon is more practical, but the CLS's design is unbeatable. I'm not sure about the handling between the two, but I thought I have read many times that E63 handles better than CLS63; although both are GT so neither outhandles the C63, esp the BS. If I have to pick, I would keep the wagon and lose the CLS.
The CLS outhandles the wagon... its got a ton of weight in the rear and doesnt get the stiffer PP shocks. The wagon launches better because of the rear bias but it doesnt handle the twisties as well.

If I get the BS - the cls will not leave- the wagon may.

BS in a heartbeat!!!

As cool as your wagon is.... the BS is just on a different level. It is a stunning automobile and while maybe not quite as fast in a straight line, it is by far more of a drivers car with a visceral appeal that the E63 TT will never approach.

Do it or your membership here could be in jeopardy.

Both are very exclusive cars! If you don't need the wagon practicality, I would say, get the C63 BS!

The BS is one of my favorite cars. I had the CLS63 AMG - the car is fast as hell but feels like a big boat compared to the BS.

hmmm you dont think your wrap has anything to do with it? the BS is definitey flashier than a normal C63 ...but i still dont see it as overly a 'look at me i need attention' kind of car like a vette, but thats just me.

As a side note, I have a part time gig teaching students at one of our universities. During a break, a couple of weeks ago my students asked me what I drove.. I told them a C63 .... the amount of blank stares was actually surpising. I kid you not, in the class of 30ish students, one guy said nice car! ... later I found out he actually had a 2013 c63 in white ordered lol... anyways, these are senior year students and they had no clue... most prob never heard of AMG, and for sure a BS. We are just a small online community compared to the vast public out there.

I WALK...
I drove the BS two nights ago, probably 30+ minutes. Great car, really good daily driver as it's super comfortable with linear power.

Vic, If you're interested in a red C63 BS fully loaded with aero/carbon/track, let me know. I know of one for sale.

Also, I maybe interested in your wagon! PM me

Thanks Nex, in regards to the CLS did you have the PP with the more taut suspension?

Also I know your 458 is much faster than the BS but how does the two cars compare handling wise?

i have 350 miles on my BS now..still hovering around 4500 RPM and no full throttle, but it is as advertised. A great road car and the standard features included in the package make for an incomparable value in today's market

I've spent a lot of time with the '12 CLS63 with PP, it feels great compared to the E63, but compared to the CBS? It's a boat.

Driving the CBS is like driving a 997.1 GT3, but with 4 seats and much better creature comforts. Tough to compare it with a much bigger sedan that has to be comfortable as well. That's the best analogy I can come up with.

drop the wagon, get a white BS, just wait and the right one will pop up! also when you are ready to part with the wagon, you have a buyer here located in Newport Beach waiting.

What are your goal with the new car Vic? If you are after handling & sound, I'd rock the 997.2 GT3RS over the BS but if you dont want to row gears, then the BS is the clear choice after you lose your AMG wagon.

It's nice to have your problem bro.

Funniest thing I've read all day, props!

The E-wagon is amazing, but I think you're making the right choice in the C-BS.

The CLS63 you have is absolute perfection, no way I'd part with that.

Ok guys deal all but done--- wagon ... sold!!!!

Ill probably pick up the black tonight. Here are some weird or not so weird questions for current owners:

The exhaust pattern is similar to my W212 N/A E63- header, pre cat, post cat, resonator, muffler. The car has amazing stock sound but I want just a little bit more. Should I X pipe the post cats and straight pipe the resonator or will that be too much sound?

How do I turn the alarm on to make a chirp when its on or off?

Any ECU tunes for this 507hp car!! Can we do the ODBII thing like normal C63?

And finally thanks for all the input- the car drives amazingly (is that a word?) and the sound is bliss. I could have got a GTR Black Edition but its just fast and turns great- this car is a sexy beast and the experience in just 5 miles of driving was a clincher for me.

Hey Vic,

Congrats on the BS. You obviously have better sources than many on this board who have been searching for this ride. I would be curious to hear some comparisons to the GTR.

Enjoy

I'm a little late to the party to cast a vote, but I would have voted for the Black Great choice, great car.

BTW what exhaust mods do you have on your 997? I'm thinking about picking one up but they seem so quiet.

I'm actually you held out with the wagon for this long. Nothing against it as I LOVE what you did with the wagon. Absolute exquisite taste and I wouldn't expect anything less from you. Yet, with your collection, I think the BS would fit right in. Now if I had to give up one of the cars, it would either be the IS or the wagon.

I know you won't disappoint with the decision. Can't wait to see the BS!

***Congrats my friend! Let's see how long this one lasts...***

There's a member that did that and posted video clips of the mod. Hard to really tell how much louder it is, but it does snap crackle and pop a little more. One thing to note, there seems to be a lot of sound deadening in the car. It sounds 10x louder outside as a pedestrian than in the car windows closed. The shifts at full throttle sound ridiculous outside, and quite tame inside. The only time I can hear the same noises inside is windows down and driving beside a concrete barrier to get the sounds to reflect back in.

Settings menu in the car. Settings --> Vehicle --> Acoustic Lock

Barry from Eurocharged says soon. When I met up with him a month or 2 ago, he had a beta tune on his car and it's already up around 30hp. It can be tuned via OBDII, but remember doing that would wipe out the stock file, and you can't reflash to stock. Only the dealer can do that.

Everyone that drives the CBS or CLKBS is blown away their first time. It's quite a different experience behind the wheel than a normal C63. I keep making GT3 references, but the Porsche fans seems to get offended every time I do.

If you have the track pack, wait till you take it to the track and get some temps into the Dunlops. The front end grip gets a bit stronger than the rears, and the car really moves around corners.

Congrats!

I might actually keep the stock wheels on the CBS for now--- great look. As for the shooting brake- hell no and no more wagons for a while for me either.
