Yeah but you are living with asphalt that will melt your tires and dry heat all day long and sweaty hot nights...only good thing is that your bathing suit will dry in 3.2 seconds after you are done swimming...guess there is always give and take...

LOL. Looks like the truck had a grudge against the Ferrari, thus the scooters were spared in the callmiro pix.

Super nice garage
A Porsche guy I grew up next to back in S. Carolina moved into a town home several years ago. The original floor plan had a large downstairs bedroom and a two-car garage. It's already a big home, so I guess he chopped down that bedroom to make it a 3-car garage (L-shaped). However, he also put in a lift so that he can fit 2 Porsches on top of each other, and two other cars. Wish I had a pic of it.

True as regards Texas
My 5000 sqft house on 15000 sqft lot cost me $525K - brand new. And that's in a very very good area of Houston.
My 1400 sqft condo built in 1980 cost me about the same as this house. And that was Los Angeles.

Before all you guys with your massive homes and your massive garages criticize me, cut me some slack, I live in Brooklyn, NY! I'm lucky to even have a garage! It's tiny I know but it serves its purpose. Enjoy!

Yes, at the greater NYC metro area, you are lucky to even have a permananet parking space.

I only have German cars in my garage ( actually its a private outdoor parking ) , I've got my eyes on the '13 GT500 but I'm afraid to be disappointed

The only other German car I have is a Porsche. Well if you saw from my pic I have a KR and while the numbers are amazing it sucks terribly on the street. Lucky to go from 0-60 in 5 seconds with all the spin. Dissapointed for sure. The 2013 GT500 is getting amazing reviews even on the street. I might take the plunge.

That same 5000sqft house in Los Angeles, (depending on the area) would cost you around 2-3 million.
Here is what a similar sized home around my area costs.

My parents' 5 bedroom home, on 1/3 acre, with a pool, on a lake, in a gated community, less than a mile from the country club went for $350k. My buddy's 3 bdrm home in Texas went for $157k. My other buddy's model townhouse in Dallas went for $270k.
When I lived in Dallas and travelled around all parts, I found the going rate to be about $100/sqft. The Bay Area is easily 4x that. My 1200+sqft condo was just appraised last year for $550k and my cousin and his gf are looking at buying a home in San Jose for around $800k. It seems like the asking price isn't enough anymore. They were pre-approved and were outbid by someone paying 6-8% over asking. Just wait until you get into really affluent areas like Hillsborough, San Mateo, Marin, etc. There are ridiculous estates for sale up there, probably from some ex-CEO of some high-tech company.
