Quote: For the lucky ones who bought them knew, enjoy the new beast. It is a great car.
For the less fortunate or those who do not mind waiting and not take the hit for the first year depreciation, we will be happy to buy one for $80K in about a year.
Depreciation on AMGs is as fast as their accelleration.
+1, really on MB's period.

The "extra" 150 was partially made up by the elimination of the special Ducati edition C63BS. And they may all be spoken for from the factory, but they aren't all "sold out."

Apparently not. Having service done here at southbay Mercedes and they have one available in matte black. Look like super fully loaded for 127k.

Ah, thanks for the heads up!

Now this is a bit of an annoyance. It has the Aero Pkg (hoping it has the Track pkg -- will call them up), but it's in matte paint. One thing I don't want is a DD in matte paint. Now I've got to wrestle with myself on this one...

This car is awesome. I won't worry about matte as a dd. mbrnz paint is very durable. Just a matter of knowing how to take care of them. Gorgeous car!

Indeed. I just worry since my plan has always been to do a full protective wrap, and I don't think that works well on matte paint either.

This is South Bay MB in Torrance, right?

(Thanks again!)

Thanks, Vic.

Well, it's damn near perfect then. Only way it could've been better is with the CF pkg, rear seat delete, and no matte paint. Giving this one some serious thought now, though, as I suppose beggars can't be choosers (specifically if I don't want to wait and pick one up in the pre-owned market 6 - 12 mo down the line -- which isn't necessarily a bad proposition).

Strange no CF Exterior Package.
I wonder if that was an oversight, intentional, or someone thought it was included with the Aero option.
There was a black BS for sale in NY that had the same oversight on the CF Ext package

Indeed, I've noticed the trend. I don't think it's clear to a lot of folks, from the ordering guide, that you still have to order them both as they are separate codes (despite being listed as orderable *with* the aero pkg -- at a $2300 discount, no less).

That MSRP definately doesn't have the exterior CF package. Interestingly enough, it also doesn't have the $3950 matte paint on it either.

As for paint protection film, just use a matte film and you're good to go. Works perfect on matte finishes. If you want to make it glossy again, just use normal glossy 3M etc. paint protection film and it'll look shiny black.

Oh, interesting. I wasn't aware that you could wrap matte paint as the wrap wouldn't stick to it very well? If it does, indeed, work then that's great news to hear.

There's one for sale on sixspeedonline, I think 111,xxx Has about 400 miles on it. I think only options are black rims, performance media. You would avoid the tax. Seems like the seller has a lot of other high end cars, so maybe he was good with it.

Ah, had not seen that one. Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately, it's missing all the important options, in my opinion. :/

(Side note: in CA, can't avoid sales/use tax on private sales. They hit you when you register.)

White on matte black wheels, though? I'd take it. If only it had track & aero packs. *sigh*

imo if you are heart set on a BS, this one here has all the core options you want. Those things you can't add in later. You have to compromise here and decide what is the most important to you.

imo, just go for it and love it! the longer you wait, the less 'wow' you will have from a BS.

Totally understandable. If I could have it my way, I'd get one with and one without, and DD the one without, track the one with.
