Exhaust Mod

I want to remove the secondary cats and resonator which from the diagram of the exhaust system is going to require two cuts. However I'd also like to be able to bolt back in the stock secondary cats and resonator at a later date. My thought is to flair the two section that are cut to accept the factory exhaust donut and clamp. Then have two continuous section of stainless tubing cut, bent and flared to accept the factory clamps behind the primary cats and in front of the stock mufflers. I've attached a picture. Any thoughts?

Ask the Vivid folks. They did a sweet job on my car.

If you want a reversable 2ndary cat delete X pipe then go with MBH. Only one cut required but no welding involved.
I would have an exhaust shop custom make you a reversable resonator delete.

The way I have my setup is, I replaced the 2ndary cats with the MBH X pipe and replaced the resonators with straight pipes.

.
If you are going to do a cut at #1, I would do it at the straight section instead of the elbow.

For sound and a little performance bump, I would go the _AMG_ route.

+1 or first start out with MBH x-pipe to see if you like the sound and it will also give you a bit more HP. http://www.mbhmotorsports.com/C63-OEM-X-pipe.html
