Has anyone found a mirror mount that will work with a radar detector? I see a few of them on the market but one specifically says it won't work with mercedes... Another doesn't mention....

How are you guys mounting your detectors? The suction cups just won't work for me anymore and tend to fall off a few a few days due to the heat. And I don't want to spend the money for a built in detector since I never keep a car more than a few years.

9500xi. Would also consider changing, used to have a V1 but prefer to have the GPS lock out of all the "your speed" signs around me.

+1. I have been trying to find a better radar mount for my Escort 8500, but I haven't come across a reasonably priced option yet.

I think escort has a bigger "super cup" that works better. Mine falls off a lot too. I would recommend cleaning it with alcohol too. It seems to gather moisture in the area it sucks onto some how.

I also have the 9500ix but with a super cup mount- its a rock. Once in a blue moon due to a major heat change it will drop...but 100x less than regular mount options.

That said, I was also looking for a stealthy/mirror mount setup, and the super cup doesn't let you tuck the detector in close to the windshield, which os a problem by the mirror due to the need for sky-visibility for the GPS function to work.

Solution: There is a modification for the super cup mount that I did involving changing the angle of the tab. I found the modification on a radar forum. i will try to find a link, and if wanted I could post pics of my set up.

Try Countryjoycrafts.com they make mounts for V1 and Escorts.

I transferred my V1 mount that was in my Lexus IS and the fitment was perfect and looked great.

Thats 100% what I am looking for... What size did you order for the C63?

3/4 inch. As you can tell from the pic I had to drill and screw it onto the mirror cover. I have a 09 C63, not sure how the 2012 cover is.
