Adjustable side bolsters

Adjustable side bolsters
Hi everyone,
I've wanted to get a C63 for some time but after a few test drives a number of years ago I could not get comfortable in the seats. I'm a little "wider" and the side bolsters were just too tight. Have they implemented adjustable side bolsters? And if yes from what year?
Thanks in advance!

The lower/mid side bolsters on my '09 are adjustable. However, if you are into weight training, and depending on your size, the upper portion of the side bolsters can be uncomfortable against your lats.

My wife is 6'1 and a runner.. with the associated runners build (not skinny, not fat), she absolutely hates the seats, while they are adjustable.. the only adjustments are filling and deflating the air bladders, you cannot adjust them bolster itself.

my dad is a bigger guy and doesnt feel comfortable in my sedan seats either. I suggest you look into a coupe if you want less aggressively bolstered seats. Although on the coupe, the bolsters are not adjustable like on the sedan

I had the same concerns and almost didn't buy my 09 C63. I asked the dealership to let me commute with the car for a few days and after that time, I was amazed at how much you value and want these seats. After owning my car for 3 months, I can't imagine sitting in any other seat. Buy the car - you will love it!

I'm not skinny (6'0", 210 Lbs), but feel the seats hold me perfectly.
I was in a friends Z3 (2010), and those were way too narrow, very uncomfortable.

Are the bolsters adjustable on the late model coupes? I'm wondering if my '15 type 507 coupe will have the adjustable bolsters (the 3 small buttons on the side of the seats)?

Right there with you! When I first test drove one they had them all the way closed. I had no idea they were adjustable and I almost walked away because of the seats lol. I am 6"1 240 pounds and I fit fine. I could be more comfy if I lost some wait (Which this is a great excuse to lose some pounds :P).
Really though, because of the car in a whole. You forget about the too snug of seats. Unless you are just too big for them (No offense, it's very easy to be with these things)

Had same concerns about C63 seats as a 6', 285# former powerlifter. Having run vipers for many years, my buddy parted with his and picked up a '09 Sedan. He's probably 5-10, 165 - the seats were a perfect fit. Bolsters were extremely tight for a big guy like me.
Wanting performance that's not so in-your-face and screams at every cop you pass, I began looking at the AMG (wolf-in-sheep's clothing) last year. Finally picked up a '13 sedan last month and have been extremely pleased with adjustability of the bolsters in the newer models. Fit/fell work fine for me!

I'm 6'4" 260lb's (built like a linebacker), and other then my head occasionally touching the roof I am comfortable. I like how the seats hug my body, especially when I'm turning hard.
I mainly have huge arms and legs though, my midsection isn't too built. So that's probably why.

My 507 Coupe does not have adjustable side bolsters. It does have adjustable lumbar, but if you are too wide then guess you should look for another car ![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I am 5' 10" and about 180 Lbs and the seats fit me perfectly. Love the seats in my 507
